Cheltenham is located off junctions 10, 11 and 11a of the M5 motorway within the London, Birmingham, and Bristol triangle and can be reached via the M4 and A40 from London and Oxford.  Cheltenham has two park and ride facilities at Cheltenham Racecourse and Arle Court.

Cheltenham Spa railway station is well served by direct services from London Paddington, Bristol, Birmingham, Swindon, Cardiff, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

By air, London Heathrow airport is 100 miles from Cheltenham, with a drive time of just two hours.  Birmingham International Airport and Bristol International Airport are both just 50 miles away offering easy road access.  Cheltenham is served by Gloucestershire Airport, an active base for private jets, located just four miles from the town centre, close to junction 11 on the M5 motorway.
