At Eagle Tower, we believe in giving back to the local community. That’s why we’ve proudly adopted Cheltenham Animal Shelter as our charity of choice. This incredible organisation does vital work in our local area, and we’re thrilled to share more about their mission, the important services they provide, and how you can join us in supporting them. The charity was also a logical choice for us as we are one of the few offices in Cheltenham to welcome well behaved dogs.

Cheltenham Animal Shelter has been a beacon of hope for animals in need since 1926. Located in the heart of Gloucestershire, this charitable organisation is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned, unwanted, and mistreated pets. Their commitment to animal welfare and the community is truly inspiring.

What They Do

Cheltenham Animal Shelter provides a safe haven for dogs, cats, and small animals, offering them the care and attention they deserve. Here are some of the key services they provide:

1. Rescue and Rehoming: The shelter takes in stray, abandoned, and relinquished pets, ensuring they receive medical attention, nourishment, and love. The ultimate goal is to find each animal a loving, forever home.
2. Veterinary Care: Animals at the shelter receive comprehensive veterinary care, including vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and treatment for any health issues. This ensures they are in the best possible condition when they are ready to be adopted.

They rely entirely on the generosity of our supporters to continue their vital work. Cheltenham Animal Shelter also actively encourage donations of items including clean blankets, towels and sheets, pet toys, un-opened food and treats and pet beds and accessories.
2. Fundraise: Organize a fundraising event or take part in one of their Challenge Events. Whether it’s a bake sale, sponsored run, or online fundraiser, every penny raised helps the shelter continue its vital work. Here at the Tower for example we organised a sweepstake to coincide with the European Championships.
3. Volunteer: The shelter relies on volunteers to help with daily tasks such as walking dogs, socializing cats, cleaning kennels, and assisting with events. Volunteering your time can make a significant difference in the lives of the animals. The charity is currently actively looking fo volunteers for their on-site shop and their new pop up shop in Cavendish House.
4. Adopt: If you’re considering adding a pet to your family, why not adopt from Cheltenham Animal Shelter?
